You always have a good balance between the pen work and washes. The road leads us nicely into the scene, with lots of interest in the distant buildings and figures,

Hang on Studio Wall

I spent last week painting with a group of friends in North Norfolk. As always, the annual September gathering was good. The weather was not too bad either, but on the day I painted this it was cold and as yet, the painting remains unfinished. The quayside was still thronged with visitors many of whom stopped to see what I was doing and offered encouraging comments.
