Lovely landscape Denis, what are.axing s ene, lovely greens and sky

Super acrylic Denis, no end to your talents.

Some lovely touches in this, particularly the brightly sunlit house against the large, dark tree. I'd have sworn this was an oil, if asked - it has that extra depth and richness I associate with oil paint.

No. It's definitely acrylic Robert. But I varnished it shortly after it was painted and that process always seems to enhance the tones and bring out the colour. I remember the day it was painted very well. I and my painting buddy had just set up our easels in a little lane leading to a meadow and a young woman came up to us from a cottage over the road to tell us that we were likely to be disturbed if we stayed there. Her husband was in and out of the lane with a big tractor, but we were welcome to paint from her garden. We accepted the offer. Actually the view was better from there and we had the added benefit of tea and buns and the attention of an extremely well behaved youngster. It was a good day!

Great painting. Would like to see it in oils...am sure it would be even better.

Keen on art at school and would have dearly liked a job with an art connection- I had hoped to get into architecture, but it did not happen.…
