Surrey Lane
I must have painted his twenty years ago, or thereabouts. My dear friend Barbara Crowe had said that she would show me several of the places where Edward Wesson used to paint and this was one of them, somewhere near Shere. No sooner had we set up our easels when Barbara said that she should be heading back home because she had a coc au vin in the oven which needed attention. She left me to paint on my own. Mind you, the coc au vin was good!
