Quite dramatic piece Dennis, very different from your watercolour style. I had a look at Mr. Crump on the web. He is a fine artist.

Different from my watercolour style? Yes, I guess it is! I find myself at my time of life, wanting to do something different. I wish that I'd got into oils and acrylics years ago but I stuck with ink and wash - maybe it's a Yorkshireman trait coming manifesting itself. It'cheap! Recently I have been attending a painting group supervised by an oil painter who has encouraged and advised me to explore alternative methods of producing a picture. If I can, I will be using acrylics outdoors this year instead of the "safe and trusted" ink and wash.

I'll look forward to more of these warm and vibrant paintings.

I see what you mean about Crumps style Denis, I've just enjoyed 30 mins of pure pleasure watching him paint. What beautiful paintings he produces....I'm a fan! Look forward to seeing your progress into oils.
