Ha - great one, Debs! Perhaps this could be an exotic design for a hat for Ascot?? Great drawing, love the slightly coy expression on the lady's face and all that beautiful fruit piled on her head.

Carmen Miranda? Or possibly Lupe Velez. CM almost died in public - she was dancing on the Jimmy Durante television show, when she suddenly collapsed: JD/Schnozzle picked her up, and she insisted on finishing her spot - died of heart failure the next day............ I'm full of these cheery stories..... It actually looks like her, so I hope I'm right. Anyone under the age of 60 probably hasn't a clue what I'm on about.....
