Spotted this straight away as one of yours, Debs. Lovely vintage feel to it and such a wistful look on Fanny's face. A very atmospheric painting.

Thanks very much Carole,Val and Thea, as soon as I saw the photo I knew I had to have a go at painting it, as there is such a 'fey' look on her face which was in no way in keeping with the real rather 'earthy' Ms Cornford lol!

Found a wonderful black and white photo of Fanny Cornforth, the one time muse, model, and housekeeper of Dante Gabriel Rossetti no less, I wonder what she was thinking when she stared past herself in the mirror?
