Great of course Debs, love this one of yours, great characterful work

Thanks Ros, I thought you might remember him from PMP!

I think you have captured his character. I like your style.

Thanks Gudrun, he did look like a great character!

Hey Debbie Debs, I'm still looking for that elusive self portrait of yours! In the meantime thanks so much for your comment on my Nelson Mandela pastel portrait, am real.leased that plenty of people think that I made a good job of him, I think I did as well although I wasn't that confident about the drawing until it was well under way but that is really always the case with portraits, your comment was very much appreciated !

Hi Debs, you r still on paintmyphoto aren't you, you will probably be aware of Roy Simmons discussion he started yesterday Tuesday 23rd July about whether people touting fro comments and likes on their works are a real problem on the site, well basically I have been hung out to dry over it, and am no longer a member of the site!! For the full explanation about it go onto Cheryl Neilson's horse coloured pencil drawing on this site I have typed it out here once and once is enough! ! You will have to read it to believe it basically it can't happen on this site as the only way to communicate is by leaving comments on each other work, whereas on pmp its too easy for people to leave comments just on people pages but not actually on artwork or to email each other, anyway have a read on Chery's horse and see what you make of it!!

Hi Debs id you see those comments I left o explain what has been happening and why's am o longer a member of the pmp site, well Cheryl came back to me with 3 of the main points from Roy's discussion replies, which where all easy to answer as none of them applied! I think I will have given her (Cheryl) plenty to think about and I will wait to see what she comes back to me with this time!

Hi Debs, i spelt Cheryl's surname wrong thats why you couldn't find her gallery on here its Cheryl Nielson

Hi Debs cheers for your support on that one, I agree that the admin section of pmp have taken a ridiculously strong attitude over it, I have been round art websites enough to know that this situation would have been laughed at that someone could be banned from a site just because of a few very misguided complaints about what someone else is doing without any real investigation into what is going on, maybe that is what can happen on a site started by one individual who apparently keeps overall say over what happens and how things are dealt with on the site!!

Hi Debs thanks so much for your lovely comment on my self portrait, that comment of Gudruns u mentioned about looking like concentrating to hard and crazed, well I can't tell you how close to that I was!! It's definately hard work, I had to take a photo of myself of myself on the iPad to make sure it was nice and big with clear features, cos on iPad I couldn't see where the button was ended up having it looking at the bathroom mirror so I could see where the click button was by looking in the mirror so it was a pastel drawing done from the photo and from mirror reflection then after mud and got home he pointed out iPad has a camera on the front as well so I could have photographed myself much easier by using that! Oh well it's done now !

Thanks to Shaun Hopkinson for such an interesting face to paint! Unfortunately I think I've over painted it - memo to self 'do not fiddle' lol but I enjoyed trying to capture such a special character!
