Wonderfully powerful image. I wonder what the story behind this image is - fascinating. Your drawing is superb in it's detail and the expressiveness of the horse and rider is great. Another gem from your great resources of imagination!

How did you do this amazing drawing Debs? I'm guessing that it's on white paper so did you colour in the background in black ink? Such detail must have taken ages!

The Pale Horse is - amongst other things - a novel by Agatha Christie: and this would make a great cover for the novel.

Thanks Thea,Louise and Robert. You guessed right Louise,I used white paper and painted the background with black ink. I'm a big Christie fan Robert and remember The Pale Horse, thanks again!

Thanks for the information Debs. I do tend to look at at paintings and wonder, 'how did they do that?' It took me a while to find you again because of all the recent postings. Apparently there were a few MPs last night as well. I missed all the fuss but even though they seem to have deleted all their images, you're still pretty far down the list. This site is just getting too busy I feel which is a shame really because I miss so many paintings as it takes so long to plough through them all. I wish that they'd limit us to one per day.

Well, I have been away for a few days I had 20 pages to look through, which I do! Debs. This is great.

Louise, I left a reply on your berry paintings, I didn't think you'd find this again lol!

Thanks Gudrun, I know the site is getting to big to keep up with!

Love this highly unusual stylised pen and ink Debs, you have drawn it beautifully, great idea of course to pick a fantasy work you are right about it making a good subject for you to work on

Debs just seen your lovely comment on my latest dog pastel portrait, 'Jinty' certainly was desperate to get somewhere in that photo, thanks for stopping by and commenting

Thanks Ros for always leaving such positive comments.

Bit late I know but I'm playing catch up on here at the moment ! This is a very professional piece of work Debs, pen and ink really is your forte. Brilliant.

Thanks Val, it's usually me playing catch up, trouble is the site seems to be too big now, and don't get me started on MP'S !!!!!!

I saw this as a pencil drawing in a book by Fantasy artist Socar Myles, so I just felt I had to have a go in pen and ink!
