I am new to this site and have found it truly inspiring, but what a pleasure to see a fellow Poyntonion exhibiting. You have captured Middlewood so well. (I lived in Worth Clough). Been away from Cheshire for decades but get up there now and then to visit family. Really nice to see something from my past captured by you. "Thanks", Derek Saunders.

Thanks Derek, I sometimes feel guilty that I seem to paint and sketch more away from home as we travel so much. Comments like yours help me to remember, and value, just what I have on my own doorstep.

Another attempt to capture the quiet and solitude of the canal in winter. Although there are several narrow boats moored here, I never saw another soul during my walk to this location and back, so to me it's a wildscape. Merry Christmas to all in the Painters Online community!
