Thank you all for your appreciation. Although I spent just over an hour on the painting, that glimmer was only there for two minutes. That's the reason why a digital camera is an essential part of my outdoor painting kit. This view was nothing before or after that glimmer, so, after the first stages of drawing the composition in dull lighting, I applied the paint using the camera screen as my guide, with constant reference to the view before me.

After one gloriously sunny Tuesday morning recently, it was back to murky, grey weather for my regular Tuesday outdoor painting session. However the sun did break through briefly and I think I managed to capture that fleeting moment.
