Thank you, Michael. I wanted the "subject" to be the contrast between the dazzle path made by the sun and the rest of the sea and it surprised me how this was achieved in just two applications of dry-brush. I'd expected to have to darken the sea more, (and thus lose freshness).

You caught the athmosphere David.

As a change from painting boats and sheds in Southwold, I joined my wife and dog on the beach, with my paints and easel, of course. The harbour mouth defences made a dramatic subject, backlit against the October morning sun.
