Thank you, Stephen. Yes, the immediacy of a quick sketch often appeals more than a considered painting. Like many others, I prefer Constable's sketches to his "proper" ones.

Really like your limited colour palette, all those rusty browns work really well against the white and pale blue

Thank you, Heather. Just my usual default palette of 3 colours - different mixes of ultramarine, raw & burnt siennas, plus white paper, of course - the most impressive and cheapest pigment.
