Lovely detail on the Lily and I like the addition of the snail. Is this a watercolour David?

Hi Carole. Thanks for your comments. Indeed it’s a watercolour, but to finish I blended in some coloured pencil in places just to try to lift the vibrancy where I thought it was needed. It looks ‘sharper’ in the painting than the photo.

Day Lily from the garden, with a bonus snail! Since the flowers only last a day, I wondered whether the snail would move fast enough to take a bite before the flower withered 😄
