It’s a lovely painting David. I have family in the area and so am familiar with the old black and white buildings. I see what you mean about the trees and hedge but they do lead the eye into the focus of the painting and maybe more detail would detract from that? Always interesting to look back at older work and consider what you might have done differently!

Very inviting

A lovely painting, I often look at my older paintings and think I should have but they are what we do at the time. I think it works and has look good for so long , you could do another one and see what difference you make .

Very good drawing skills evident here, the viewer is led along the street. Perhaps a small figure or two for interest?

Stunning work Michael.

An absolutely lovely painting David. I like the way it draws the viewer in, to perhaps post a letter (remember them?) at the end of the street. The trees and hedge work well for my eyes. We are lucky to have such charming scenes in the UK.

That is a delightful painting, David.

It's lovely, David - love the sunny atmosphere!

Watercolour 20" x 16" framed. I painted this quite some years ago, but still like the image. I think i would do the trees on the left and the high hedge on the right slightly differently now, just a little more detail, but not too much as it could make it too fussy.
