Barge on the Orwell

A big yes from me Colin. Nice work.

I absolutely love Thames Barges and you painting really portrays their stature. I love the calm you have created in the painting. I painted at Pin Mill many years ago and still remember the cartoon by Giles in the Butt and Oyster pub (and the model of a Thames barge). If you walk through the carpark of that pub, it leads to a pathway where you can see the boat houses (more painting oportunities).

A superb painting and painted so well. This has a great look to it, the whole painting is well presented very classical looking excellent work Colin.

Now that’s a watercolour and a super subject, I great big yes from me too!

Simplicity at its best and a lesson in not how to overwork subjects, wish I could get it into my head🥴. Excellent painting!
