Poplar trees - paint sketch

I like this, and the direction you seem to be taking with it. Thought it was gouache at first, it has that spare look and a certain creamy quality in the paint. A very effective composition.

Really like this Robert. I am thinking of doing something similar to try to loosen up. When I paint it tends to comeout the same each time, quite tight. I look forward to seeing your paintings fro these paint sketches. jean

Hi Clive, I like this painting a lot. It's very fresh and freeflowing. I like the simple brushmarks and the colours are lovely. Your style has changed from last year, I mean that it's still your style but in a different way. Thank you also for commenting on my gallery. I did finish the abstract landscape I was talking about.
