Very nicely done - there is drama in the shadows and strength in the vertical lines. The painting also has an old look to it - very fitting considering the subject.

Thank you Rebecca and Thea, for the kind words. Very interesting Thea, the 'old look' to it, in as far as I am able to say, it was an accident for sure. However interesting comment. I have already drawn two others and will was them and post soon. Again many thanks Chris.

Good painting. I went to w/c classes as a complete beginner. My 5/6th attempt probably went in the bin! Well done you.

Venice on 140 lb jacksons watercolour paper, 395 x 420mm. My first attempt at line and wash, 5th and 6th lesson. It was interesting, I have started several more and will eventually post.
