Hello Christopher, thanks for your very appreciative message on my "Shutter". You live in a very beautiful part of France (but there are so many!). Your gallery is good too and I must say you choose difficult subjects...... I can't paint trees or foliage so avoid them! this snowy scene is well painted and I love the blues. Keep painting and looking at POL - that's how I've improved in the last year or so!Bonne journée, Avie.

Here I was struck by the blues, I have tried to replicate what I saw but experience does not allow, also the photograph, uploading etc process looses something of the origional, the picture has much more in the way of highlights susequently being much more striking,also the detail on the tree trunks seems to have been dulled, not sure if this is the effect of my computer ability to print good quality or not. I like the effect and will try again as experience developes.
