In response to your request for comments the only thought that comes to mind is that you could darken the tone of the foreground water to lead you more into the picture - however a small point as this is a really good painting as it is.

Thank you Michael for your kind comment, yes I could perhaps use the darkest tone of the pthalo green used for the water to darken a little the foreground, as you probably know Schminke have 5 tones to each colour and here I used the colours progressively to to give continuity. then using other colours asa well. regards Chris

This is the work I uploaded last week as a work in progress, I completed it last friday night and thought to offer it for any comments that others might think worth making. Having re-worked the sky and darkened the whole aspect, added colour to the sails to give shadows and a little reflection of the sky, also the sea in the foreground was completed and a little more definition was added.
