Well I’ve been working with oil bar’s recently as part of a mixed media feature, I just don’t like them one bit! This is yet another cracking piece Chrissie, and I can see the oil bar work which is rather impressive!

Alan- yes oil bars are probably like marmite! I am finding them quite interesting to use on top of my acrylics. The texture feels very creamy to use which is nice.

Hmm… having a rethink now… possibly better in small sections and over acrylic or dry oils… back to the drawing board… literally!

A small panel 8x8 inches. I am experimenting using oil bars over acrylic and here I have used a gold oil bar- you can see the marks here and there lurking in the yellow strip!
