oil on canvas 70 x 70cms. A favourite subject for me - this tree stands alone in the landscape alongside the path. I have previosly painted it in its' autumn colours, and this time felt that a blue palette would lend a certain atmosphere to the painting as well as describing the fading light of the afternoon.
