Acrylic on unstretched canvas 37x35cms. This painting was inspired by a riot of herbaceous planting in one of the borders at Anglesey Abbey. I made several sketchbook paintings on site and then used them for this painting. I kept the sky a plain yellow as a foil to the busy foreground.
