Coo. Not a profound reaction, but it does represent my response to this painting. Informative too, because I hardly ever use Lemon Yellow - I think I might now....

By the way, Charles - is ultramarine your usual blue? Realized the other day that I haven't used it for some time..... but perhaps I should. Do you ever use a ready-mixed green? I never used to, but have resorted to Sap Green, Viridian, and Pthalo Green recently - and I may just be getting lazy. Very interesting anyway, and thanks for all the information.

Charles I think not mixing in the palette has given this painting a really fresh feel. Like it!

Painted on Saunders Waterford 300lb not Near the Derbyshire hamlet of Parwich.--- Painted with 4 colours -lemon yellow-- ultramarine blue--raw umber--- FW acrylic black ink + white -- no colours mixed on the palette all colours layed or glazed on to the paper -- green made by glazing lemon yellow or blue onto black or brown.--did not know what what I was taking on but I think I am happy with it
