WATERFALL IN WATERCOLOUR by Chas Wilby

WATERFALL IN WATERCOLOUR

The waterfall is very realistic Charles, really seems to be flowing down. As usual, your trees and rocks are very effective.

i agree with Stephen about the waterfall being realistic Charles but for me the foreground of the rocks and ferns are so well painted I love it, and it is never easy sometimes to render in the watercolour medium to achieve what you have here, another nice piece for your great portfolio of paintings .

I'll just agree with both Stephen and Graham, especially Graham's comment about the foreground, it's a good 'un!

Thanks for your very generous comments on my recent postings - in turn I must say I envy your technique as demonstrated in this superb watercolour but we are all different in style etc which is what makes this such a great site

This is really fabulous, Charles! Agree with everyone - the foreground is excellent, but then so is the waterfall and everything else! Love your watercolor style - it's unique, yet still retains the very essence of the medium.

Tremendous waterfall Charles! The foreground rocks and ferns are beautiful.

I like it Charles , the waterfall is marvellous, great rocks and foliage, Hope you are feeling better,

Painted on Bockingford 140lb rough 12"x8" --From a photo taken some 15-18 years ago while on holiday -- From notes that I wrote at that time I think it's the Sgwd Yr Eira waterfall -You can walk behind this waterfall--Robert Jones might know he's done this area.----The white in this painting is not gouache, but is W/N watercolour -Titanium white. If it is classed as a watercolour by W/N I will use it, or any other opaque watercolour listed by W/N .--- THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE THERE FOR
