Great colours, Charles, super atmosphere of old woodland. I'm painting something similar in oils of nearby Yorkshire woodlands at the moment, though with some snow. I love all your woodland scenes, especially with hints of mauve and reds. Lovely

As a child I would have been climbing up that foreground tree Charles! It's a real beauty and frames the landscape nicely. Excellent.

I keep getting drawn back to this painting - your texture and tones are so cleverly applied and that light verdant green on the branches creates a great 3D effect
