I agree with Ann, this one really glows with the sunset.

Super painting, great colours and as Ann and Stephen says, this painting glows.

hi this is beatiful i could see why you would camp here from paula

Lovely colours, very dramatic

A real sense of drama in this, well done Charles. I don't know this place, but I do know Hathersage. there is/was a hotel, the Hathersage Inn? Some friends of mine owned it, although I haven't seen them for many years.

I really like this composition Charles and the colours are great

They are all right, this is a beautiful painting (again), Charles. You live in an amazing part of the country and you capture the atmosphere perfectly!

This is fabulous, Charles! Dramatic and vibrant, with superb atmosphere and composition. It's an absolute winner!

Wonderfully atmospheric. Beautiful composition and colours. I love it.

Love everything about this painting Charles; the sky, the colour and the foreground detail is superb.

This is fantastic Charles , I really like the purple in the foreground.

Painted on Saunders Waterford 300lb rough 12"x8"--- Carl Wark an old hill fort in the backdround looking from Higgor Tor-- If you leave Hatthersage up the hill {A6187} just over the crest there is a car park on the left.-- footpaths to the hill fort lead from there.--if you cross the road you would be going down into Padley Gorge---- in the late 50s early 60s spent many a night camping out up there --{ few bottles of the old ale like }
