I had a right royal time looking at your portfolio Chas. Trying to sort out a fave! Difficult task you set me. But this picture quickens my pulses, as it's the sort of lane I love to stumble along. My knees are okay now, but a dose of cellulitis knocked them about, so I have to use sticks. Under lockdown at present of course, but still painting. Having to use photographs but things can always be worse. I see we are about the same age (1939) and BTW, and I live in Birmingham North, just over the border into Staffs. Plenty of green belt to access for painting mind. That's why I paint trees! Cheers. John
