This is an exciting drawing. There is an energy in it which not often happens in pencil drawings of this detail. Lovely. I look forward to your others popping up!

Excellent drawing Charles

Is this done in charcoal? Most of my charcoal drawings tend to end in horrible smudges...... have had a lot of fun with ink and charcoal, though;...... And if I thought I could sell 'em - I'd post 'em!

PS - great drawing, the horizontals contrasting with the verticals.

Robert --- I used 4b and 9b pencils

This is really lovely Charles :-) You have a lot of talent i think :-)

It has alot of drama to it (well, I think so!). The leaves are fluttering in the breeze and the river is sploshing along too.

Great tones Charles and in exactly the right places. Wonderful detail, like it very much.

You get so much detail in, Charles - I admire your patience. Are you going to use this now for a painting?

Jane - its already in my Woodland portfolio - as Wildboarclough No9 --- you will trawl back a little

Sorry to hear you lost your portfolio. This is a lovely atmospheric drawing and a beautiful subject.

Beautiful drawing, Charles.

Welcome to the club, so easy to delete by accident! This is a lovely pencil drawing Charles, very skilled.

I admire your attention to detail. Pencil isn't the easiest of mediums. This is patient, accurate work. Nice one. Most enjoyable browsing your work. regards John
