Living On The Edge

A very interesting painting that works well, especially the colour choices. It would be interesting to know how much was accidental and how much intentional.

Excellent Chandra. The added elements of texture from the cling film sets the idea of trees and branches amongst the rocks. Love the colour palette.

Love the textures colours and mystery of this Chandra.

Lots to interest the eye in this one Chandra.

Thank you all for your kind comments....they are much appreciated! To answer your question William, I let the inks run and blend together in certain areas where I wanted them, then put cling film on certain areas, but not for too long, then worked into the fine lines with a brush adding branches, trees and leaves to give some texture. I chose these colours because I wanted to give the painting a cool, Autumnal feel. I then painted in the reflections in the water.

Chandra, thanks for explaining your technique which clearly gives successful results

Love this Chandra - I have just started playing with inks and watercolour. Love your lovely loose feel.
