Good for you, Carol. I have a tin of these and have never actually tried them properly, just scribbles on scraps. Your stone wall is nicely subtle

It has worked and I admire you for trying out pencils.......I didn't do half as well when I gave them a go. The stone looks solid.

Thank you Jenny and Fiona for your comments.. It's interesting that you both said you had tried the pencils but without great success. My first attempts at "painting" were actually with these graphitint pencils given to me as a present. I was able to produce several reasonably successful pictures which led me to try watercolours. An early entry in my gallery is a graphitint picture of my house in Cumbria. I may post some of those other early ones in due course.
