Good sketch (and experiment) Carol

Works well

It certainly does warrant being on the gallery Carol. I’m so pleased your confidence has led to this smashing ink sketch. It’s a super start….directional strokes in the hills, movement in the water and depth of tone in the foreground bank and grasses. Look forward to seeing more!

A very good sketch, Carol - keep going!

Thank you all for your kind comments. You have all given me the encouragement I need to progress in this new found media.

It's great when inspiration gets going again. Good perspective here Carol. Keep going and let us see where it takes you.

Thank you Marjorie for your comment- much appreciated.

Many thanks Marjorie- much appreciated.

Sorry Margerie I didn't think the first comment had gone through.

From little acorns as they say! Good sketch Carol.

Thank you for your comment Chris- let's you are right.

sorry Chris- let's hope you are right. Will I ever get use to this new tablet?!!!

Whilst having another decluttering session a couple of days ago I came across a small tin of pen nibs and several dip pens. I had used them in my college days for calligraphy but never tried drawing with ink. In fact I did this sketch with Pitt sepia artist pens which I have had for ages but not used. I'm unsure whether this sketch warrants a place on the gallery but I have spent most of this weekend experimenting with pen and ink for the first time and am absolutely hooked!!
