Buttermere/trees by Carol Hitchman

well i like it :-) it is almost as if you used pastels to me :-) i like the foliage on the branches too :-)

Did you scare yourself Carol? A huge difference in the tones, it really makes the painting. Your trees are most deinitely at the front of your panting, and your distant hills are were they should be...in the distance. I also like the composition; glimpsing through the trees at the view. Are you pleased with the result Carol? You should be.

Thank you Rebecca and Fiona for your comments. Fiona -I don't think I did really scare myself as I was copying what was actually in the photo. But I have to admit that I am pleased with the result and "can see it all now" -if you see what I mean. In case it has not already registered with you Cumbria is my favourite place and Buttermere stands out as the best place to be for me.
