Carol a lovely thought out and and very pleasing watercolour. You’ve captured the feeling of sunshine on the cottages and the trees are fabulous! It would positively dazzle if you were to darken the foreground shadows a little! Lol You should be thrilled, it’s very good.

Thanks very much Fiona. Guess what? The last instruction in the tutorial is "Finally using a bold hand and a brush loaded with a fairly strong but fluid mix....... etc paint in the shadows." At the time I thought I'd made a strong mix but evidently not strong enough to allow for the fading as it dried. We've been there before haven't we!!!LOL Other than that weakness I do think this is one of my better attempts

I decided ti was time to attempt more constructive scenes rather than purely landscape. This is painted with just raw sienna, light red & French ultramarine
