It may be a rare attempt but it has a great feel to it - a worthy picture. .

Many thanks for your comment Michael. Until I posted some paintings on the gallery last weekend the only people who had seen my pictures were friends and family who of course give somewhat biased opinions. Having taken up painting fairly recently it is so encouraging to get a positive comment. My first love is the Lake District and most of my paintings have been from my own photos. However I live on the south coast and so far have struggled to produce any successful "sea" pictures.

Keep 'struggling', Carol...It comes with practice, and I think you have a feeling for your surroundings.
