the colour is spot-on for sunrise, Carol, people are often tempted to go too lurid and everything on the ground is just silhouetted at this stage. Well observed

Jenny is right, it's tempting to over do the sky in a sunrise and sunset, as I did with the first one I attempted but you have restrained yourself and achieved a great sky. Your tree shapes are excellent too.........great combination Carol.

Thank you Jenny & Fiona for your comments. As I have preciously mentioned to you Fiona I have hundreds of sky photos I have taken over the years -many sunrises. This is from one of the more subdued - some are pretty lurid but would probably appear unbelievable in a painting.
