Great Carole. My husband was looking over my shoulder. he said; I like that' 'That's good' Not an easy man to please! I am sure they will be well pleased with the result this really is an excellent piece of work. I love the Camper. The ladies are smashing - body proportions are so good. Shadows are great. (you should get a very good price for this painting).

hank you so much Jeannette - you (and your husband) have made my day! Big smiles :)

Sorry Jeannette - not sure who Hank is! Meant to say Thankyou!

Hi Carole...I finally got here the POL system was/is playing up...I for one enjoy [love] the elegant simplicity of the clean clear lines and the exquisite details of the camper-van...as ever that bold decision for elegant, clutter-free simple seas & skies is to be congratulated...excellent figures...don't get too tied up in getting perfect shadows...the ruler for the sun-line will always work...this is well worth its price...I congratulate you.

Phil - what a lovely critique - again. I could read it over and over! Thank you so much for your eloquent praise - I think you should be a poet as well as an artist. :) P.S. Yes - the ruler is definately the simplist shadow caster and I will not get bogged down with them again!

Looking good, Carole, I can only repeat Phil's effusive and well-earned comment. This commission is serendipity, no excuses now about entering Patchings! Thanks for your comment on my latest picture, even if you addressed it to Phil AGAIN!!

Sorry Robert - I promise to pay more attention with names - senior moment. Thank you for your lovely comment - ROBERT

I see SOLD on it!! Great feeling isn't it. Well done and I hope this is the begining of many sales for you. Don't forget us on POL when you are rich and famous!! Congratulations, Val.

Thank you Val - for noticing the sale. I think my feet are firmly back on the ground today! :)

A great holiday painting! Love the van! Well done on the sale, too. What is meant by the 'ruler and shadows'?

Hi Sheila - thanks for the comment. I had 3 separate photos to put together and the shadows were in different directions for each - so I had to pick one (the van) and then get the ruller out to see where the other shadows would fall - didn't want to ruin the painting for the sake of a shadow cast at the wrong angle

Nearly there. I decided to keep the shadows the same as the original van photo. So I have moved the shadow on the trees and girls and changed the highlights on the girls . Going to sit back and look at it for a few days now! SOLD!!!!!! HEE HEE HEE
