Inspired by a walk in a meadow in Northumberland. Oil pastels and pencils, on Sennelier oil pastel paper, 14” x 12. I found the paper a bit too firm for my liking and had difficulty in spreading the oil pastels. Consequently, the painting looks too stiff and without the natural flow, I was striving for.
