Holywe Barn Sinbrook & Widford Oxfordshire 9.5 13.75"
A typical stone barn seen on the road heading east out of Swinbrook This farm is located on fairly elevated ground facing south so makes for a good subject to try most of the day (even better when the sun is out) there is also quite a wide verge along the road from which one can paint away for as long as you like without the worry of troubling any traffic! Here it is depicted in the afternoon and I tried to get the feeling of the lowering daylight on it. It would be amiss of me to not mention that there are two most agreeable public houses within a mile of this location! so there is another reason to visit!! The one in Swinbrook itself is a real charmer sitting as it does by a bridge spanning the Windrush River and has the usual local ales and locally sourced food!!! Arches Aquarelle 90lb Rough
