Hertforshire Farm painted from a sketch drawn this summer. I had always found the grouping of the buildings to be quite attractive, however had never been there at the right time of day with the appropriate weather to show them up nicely. I acted fairly quickly to catch this sketch whilst on the hoof as it were. Watercolour on Bockingford paper 18" X 12 1/2 inches.
