When I try foregrounds like this they turn in to mud - lovely restful scene and I particularly like the older barn on the right

Thanks for your kind comments on my portfolio! I must say I find yours inspiring. Living here in the far NW, subjects (apart from majestic vistas with no foreground) are hard to find - hence my fixation with rusty roofs and snow!!

This is rather a paintable subject found on "Middle Road" between Burford and Little Barrington (Oxfordshire) The shadows where really interesting to the right of the barn under the tree, and over the accompanying building. I found it difficult to capture this, however I hope the general gist of it can be understood here. Saunders Waterford High White.
