The title is perfect, with the trees looking like they're actually catching the light with their branches and twigs, like a fielder. Wonderful painting all round. Brian

Well, I've already commented, but as I keep coming back for another look, I felt moved to say more. What impresses is that the degree of realism is there but doesn't overwhelm, alongside whole swathes of foliage suggested with a few deft brush strokes. The sunlit effect is wonderfully done. An absolute delight to look at work like this.
