A fantastic subject not noticed by most people. Beautifully painted and composed. Did you mask the wire ? The whisps of string blowing in the wind bring it alive !

Yes I did use masking fluid on the wires. I don't normally use it but when I did the original painting on the spot<br />I painted around the wires and as a result had a patchwork field of greens!

This is not the picture that I intended to paint that day. I went out meaning to paint some barns at the side of a farm track but when I saw this fence held together with string and binder twine I thought I'd have a go at it instead. I have yet to find a farmer that appreciates it!produ
