River in midsummer

I rarely like trees in paintings, but yours are wonderful. So full of light and texture. The reflections in the water and the water itself is beautifully painted. Such a simple scene, but your excellent skill with the brush has brought it to life.

Where do you start ....? Wonderfully varied and vibrant greens, and, unlike Thea, I love trees in paintings when they're well painted, and these are painted brilliantly, and water that looks actually wet - and you've conveyed the heat of the summer's day. Superb.
