Oh, have a plaudit.... take two, they're only small.... Did I suggest before that you take a look at www.kenbushe.co.uk, a Scottish painter who has made skies his own? If not I will now. Inspiration a-plenty.

Nother plaudits from me Brian. This is lovely...I like your very competent portraits as well.

Thanks Robert: Any morsel gratefully received. Actually when we lived back in the UK in the Nineties, I used to do small 6x8/10x12ins oils of the skies from Bracklesham Bay where we lived looking towards the I.O.W. I exhibited them, with other work, in a pub restaurant at Birdham called The Bell. They used to sell like hot cakes - Well three or four a month anyway for 50/70 quid. Used to get some wonderful sunsets or, looking the other way towards Worthing great dawns. We were only 200 yards back from the beach where I walked the dog morning and evening. Haven't bothered with them out here but the weather has changed significantly these last few months and the sky patterns with it and it gave me the idea to start again. Where we live now we are just 4kms form the coast and Mt. Maromar at just under 3000 metres is just behind us about 14kms into its foothills. So we get now quite a variety, whichever way you turn. Thanks for the referral to Ken Bushe. Thoroughly enjoyed looking at his aerial paintings.

Hi Sylvia, My thanks to you too and for your comments on the portraits.

Rain Clouds sweeping in over the countryside. Cloud formations fascinate me and I have hundreds of fotos of them over the years but have never before featured them. This is the first of (Possibly) a new series. Depends whether I get plaudits or brickbats. Over to you! 22cms x 27cms Oil on Canvas
