I did some plein air painting this afternoon - and found out the hard way that working in acrylic outside in direct sunlight is not a good idea. I don't have a "stay wet" palette, and the paint was drying faster than I could get it onto the canvas. I've been reading about different mixed media techniques in Leisure Painter, so I decided to try working back over my painting with oil pastel and this is the result. I don't think it's my finest piece of work, but I learned a lot.
