I can understand why you were attracted to do this - good one Bobbie

Thank you, Heather. I'm not sure about using oil pastels for this sort of portrait because they are quite large and blunt - great for the fabric in her dress, but difficult for the finer detail in the girl's face. She is quite striking, though!
