This is a preparatory plein air pencil sketch of the interior at one of the two churches I look after as Churchwarden. I was inspired by Robert Cordeaux' watercolour of the North Aisle at Monks Kirby. This sketch will be the basis for a pastel painting at some point between now and Christmas, which will be a real challenge.
