Like it! Jackson's must like you, too, since you're experimenting with so many different things - I'll certainly be looking into the tinted charcoal. The colour in this is sumptuous, and the composition - for something straight out of your 'ead - works just right. By the way, change of subject entirely - I understand Michael Harding is going to be making his own stack lead white, ie Flake, in due course: bound to be pricey, but at least all is not lost.

Thanks for the visit and comment Robert. I laid down a few strokes of the brighter colours with Rowney pastel, then worked over them with the tinted charcoal, which seem to be in muted colours. Like pastel pencils, and watercolour pencils, I think the main use for TC, is the ability to draw in after the initial idea is blocked in. Sounds good for MH, but as you say, it will be pricey, even if Uk distributers bother to stock it, I think the cost of bringing over a tube in the postal system will be prohibative.

Lovely work Mick, stunning colours, tinted charcoal eh, will have to look into that I'm thinking, how much of is the charcoal and how much the pastels I wonder? Pastels are lovely and bright if needed of course by themselves. You always have such lovely little cottages in your work Mick and this one has perfect example of that.

Thanks for the visit and comment Ros. Robbert, Jackson's stopck 40ml, tubes of Vassari fw, pricey, something like 22 quid a tube, o/s at the mo, due in 2nd May.

Interesting concept...tinted charcoal. Just how do they do that. I mean it's all in the name "coal" and the process of smoking wood. Mmmmmmmm very interesting. Anyhow it's produced great results for you.
