I really like this Bill. You have done a lovely job of the foreground water and also the small island colours are warmer and strong than the distant hills and this gives it depth.

PS Forgot to add, it looks super in the mount....good idea.

As I'm trying to get to grips with oil painting techniques and practice them, I thought I'd continue with my idea of putting small studies into aperture cards, instead of just doing little practice pieces to be discarded. This is a local scene in SW Scotland. Oil on gessoed paper, app 15 x 10cm
