Like it, Bryan. It does add a festive touch to the gallery at the moment. A great range of blues.

Thank you very much, Linda and Lew, for the warm comments. This is definitely a twee Christmassy one, steeped in Romanticism. I might hang some lights from the trees. *smile* Bri (with an "i") *grin*

Stunning - SO cold!

Super gradations of blues and the kind of place we dream of going to. Those trees are crying out for baubles and tinsel but they carry a dreamlike elegance and ethereal beauty Brian.

Thank you very much, Heather and Carole, for the kind comments. Always appreciated. Yes, Carole, I'm holding myself back, resisting the temptation to add some baubles etc. It's really meant to be tranquil "pretty". Good fun to paint and quite relaxing, which makes a change. Best to both Bri

A cold but beautiful painting, the pallet you have used is great.

Very striking, Christmassy and chilly looking Bri! I like that hint of light in the sky- very effective.

Thank you very much, Dixie, Tony and Tessa, for the highly encouraging comments. I'm delighted the limited palette seems to be working. Thanks for that and thanks for mentioning the light , Tessa. Best to all Bri

Cool and quiet, with a frozen calm........waiting for the chill breeze to whisper against the snow laden boughs. I hope Santa I’d bringing you all a woolly pully to wear to dinner!

Thank you very much for dropping in, Fiona. Much appreciated, as always. I might switch the heating off and open the back door. That should add to the atmosphere. I can just imagine Di's comments. *smile* Bri

Thank you very much, Dennis, for the kind comment. Much appreciated. Bri

Oh this is tremendous Bri, it does have a dreamlike quality to it, beautifully painted and so calming to view. I love the way you've captured the distant fells, quite mysterious, brilliant!

Wow! Thank you very much, Russell, for the very generous and kind comments. Much appreciated. I was tickled pink to read 'calm' and 'mysterious'. Thanks for that. Bri

What a beautifully cool painting. Love the palette

Oil on canvas, 30 x 20 cms. A small snow scene of Derwent Water in the Lake District. This one is going on my snow wall for Christmas. I currently have eleven snow paintings to surround the "table" on the day, to give it that Christmassy, cold feel. Bit of fun but it doesn't look too bad when it's all arranged. Daft, I know. Wet in wet with a lavender palette.
